After listening to President Obama's speech tonight at the memorial service for the 6 people who died on Saturday, I told my children how blessed we are to have such a man leading the country we live in. I am moved to tears and feel uplifted, chastened, encouraged and filled with hope for the first time in a long time.
If you missed it, you can listen to it HERE. (Obama begins at about 35:40 or so)

grateful here as well.
Oh, Elizabeth! I must listen to it online. I don't have television. My last post was a memorial for those who died. I would be glad to hear Obama's speech. Thank you.

My sentiments, exactly.
I heard part of it on the BBC news this morning and felt the same. He is a man of great rhetoric and courage.
