As life becomes harder and more threatening, it also becomes richer,
because the fewer expectations we have,
the more the good things of life become unexpected gifts that we
accept with gratitude.

When do the weekly, neighborhood drink evenings start?

Haha. Maybe a martini, or even a margherita, one day ... but for me right now, I'll enjoy not being hungover - I've never been one for moderation :) great photography though (it was almost food for thought) ;)

I'm reading a book right now you might like Elizabeth. You can add it to your stacks:)

The Five Things We Cannot Change by David Richo. Chicken looks yummy.

The chicken dish looks soooo good, but in the spirit of quality over quantity I say treat yourself and upgrade to Silver Patron and Grand Marnier! You deserve it.

There is nothing about this which does not just please me to pieces.

I looked at that picture and immediately felt happy. And then the quote made me even more happy. Good thing I stopped by today!

I want to run my finger over the dew on that shaker.

I ditto what Gretchen said - except it looks like you're out of margarita supplies

You have many gifts - writing, photography, cooking, baking, motherhood, advocacy - and coming to your blog is like visiting a friend's house. It is a treat. After this tough day, it was so nice to come into your kitchen. Thank you for inviting us.
P.S.: I almost posted that quote on fb today!

What a powerful book about a girl who was pretty much a mystic

You are one powerful goddess, with a wave of your camera and a little wordsmith'ing, you inspire. Now about that divine looking chicken dish...

That meal looks delicious. Alcohol is very therapeutic. That combination would satisfy me very nicely!
