Quiet
Le Silence by Odilon Redon
I just drove back from Santa Barbara where I dropped Henry off at lacrosse camp. On the way I also dropped Oliver off at a boys' camp. They'll be gone until the end of the week.
I remember those days. THe boys would leave for a week and I would be here with Maggie and the quiet would drive me crazy. Then they would come back and I would yearn for peace. Can't win.
I hope you enjoy the calm this week! As it turns out there's no way I could have escaped to meet you anyway. My mother is critically ill and we preparing to flying east. I've been silent everywhere - hardly reading, never writing - but will be back.
I hope that you will have an easy adjustment to "le silence," and enjoy it. When Gregg & David are both going to be away at the same time, I dread it...but then, I adjust, and it is rich and good. Hoping the same for you.
my family was gone for four days this past week, and it was just me and the dog (who is barkless.) hoping your "quiet" is filled with good things, this week...

Pearlsky is on her way out to you, I just put her on a plane.
Wouldn't want you bored all week ...
Things to savor...and to miss.
Will Sophie miss them or does she enjoy the occasional treat of having you all to herself?
Shall I join you?
It's all right, girl. Enjoy whatever peace you can get. Those boys are making memories.
You deserve some quiet time. I hope you enjoy it. :-)
Eat well. Read some more. Go surfing.
I'm already relishing the little bits of peace and quiet that come my way this summer
enjoy!
xoxoxo
Oh, yes, my boys are with their dad right now and I'm totally feeling the quiet!
Call me if it gets too quiet :)
♥
i cannot wait to see what you and sophie get up to!
Just when you start getting used to it, they'll be headed back home. Isn't that the way of things? Bless your week :)
