Riding the Wave of CBD

I just taped an interview this morning with Madeline Brand of KCRW, a local public radio station. You can hear me at 12:00 noon, Pacific Time on Brand's show Press Play.

Here's the link.

I only shook like a leaf afterward but wonder if I sounded like I was surfing the biggest wave in the universe. At least they didn't see me in a bikini, though.

  1. Elizabeth - I listened to this in real time and it was great! I only noticed slight nervousness the first fe seconds and that is common for everyone. Otherwise you were the same articulate speaker one would expect from reading your blog. Congratulations for continuing to get the word out! Sweet Jo

  2. elizabeth,
i just listened now. i think you did an excellent job telling your story and sophie's story, addressing the complexities, giving voice to the felt experience of a child's & a family's life with epilepsy, and naming the urgency. i have heard your written voice and appreciated now hearing your articulate, passionate spoken voice too!

  3. You sounded great. With this blog, your eloquent way of making your lives tangible and then sharing your quest for the CBD were just a part of your story to me. But Iit is so much more than that, and I forget sometimes just how big of a deal this is - not just for Sophie (which is enough - more than enough if that was it!!), but for others. Sophie's story and her success with Charlotte's Web teach someone like me who has no direct connection to a person who needs medical marijuana, that is must be legalized for this kind of treatment. You are making a difference.

  4. Just listened to the segment, and you sounded great (yes, nervous at first, but still articulate and convincing). And I, too, am a person with no family or friends dealing with epilepsy, yet am a devoted reader of your blog, and because of that I wrote to my legislators here in Illinois, to support the extension of medical marijuana benefits to people with epilepsy. The bill has made it out of committee and we're hopeful of success in the whole legislature.
