Boy Question That Beggars Belief*

(after accompanying me to a store where I bought my own mother a Mother's Day gift)

Wait! Does this mean I'll be having to buy you a gift for Mother's Day until I'm 50 years old?

*You really can't use an expression like beggars belief too often, but the incredulity I felt called for it, especially when The Boy clarified by stating how expensive it would be over all those years. Call me heroic, because he's very much alive

  3. And just wait until he finds out it doesn't stop at 50.

  4. Ha! Well, point out to him that you'll always be obligated to provide him with a birthday gift, so it all evens out. :)
