The 30:1 ratio cannabis product, now classified as hemp oil, is here. Hallelujah! We are, of course, hoping that with the higher ratio, Sophie will get back to better seizure control. In the meantime, I'm so thankful for Realm of Caring and so excited for the hundreds of families that are coming off the waiting list and that are able to try this product with their children with refractory epilepsy. May it work for them like it's worked for us.
So glad to see this news. Here's hoping it puts some merry in your season. x0 N2
ReplyDeleteNothing could make me happier for Sophie and your family and all of the other families.

ReplyDeleteXO
Hoping that you'll have a graphic similar to the one you used when you spoke in LA in June! Cheers!
ReplyDeleteI'am so happy for you and Sophie. Gail
ReplyDeleteThank you for posting about this. This is very important. (i read and bookmark your blog and calvinsstory for real information)and i pass your information along wherever i can in hope that laws (and ideology) will change. I am so glad your daughter is recovering. once epileptic activity (t/c AND subclinical epileptiform) is decreased or halted, patients can recover and /or develop 'skills' (ability to enjoy life).

ReplyDeleteSo happy to hear this!
ReplyDeleteHoping right along with you!
ReplyDeleteYay! Somehow I didn't imagine it in a bottle with a commercially printed label (with graphic design, no less!). I hope it comes through for you and for other families as well.
ReplyDeleteAmen to that!
ReplyDeleteI wish I could get my hands on some of that "gold". But for now it's out of our reach. As you know, we started giving C. cannabis oil 5 months ago after reading your posts about it. The ratio we were initially given was ridiculously low: 4.9% - 5.5% CBD and around 1% THC. I remembered your stressing the significance of the ratio: the higher the CBD, the greater the chance of success.
ReplyDeleteSo I requested a higher ratio from the cannabis nurse who gladly switched us to the highest version on offer: 20% CBD to 1% THC. (Why we weren't told about its existence is anyone's guess.)
But then, 2 months ago, out of the blue, we were notified that "based on doctors' advice" - whoever they may be - the ratio ceiling will now be 15%-16% CBD and 0.75% THC.
Have our local experts unearthed information that eludes the rest of the medical cannabis universe?!
As soon as our neurologist returns from overseas, I'll ask her about getting a higher ratio but I presume she'll tell us that's impossible.
I look forward to hearing soon that Sophie is improving on Charlotte's Web.
Hoping for you. xo
ReplyDeleteOh, yes, may it please...
