It probably wouldn't cure the self-righteousness of religion .... but it would be safer for kids.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10818795902981871173noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4863417462909147257.post-74602745113108279322009-08-17T22:38:00.154-07:002009-08-17T22:38:00.154-07:00I am on the alert for good.I am on the alert for good.Lisahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00665632105920753931noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4863417462909147257.post-14170332309620662152009-08-17T21:02:14.854-07:002009-08-17T21:02:14.854-07:00I am not even going to bother reading the two arti...I am not even going to bother reading the two articles as I trust that you have summed them up perfectly.

Disgusting. The priests have done it and gotten away with it for years, why not the nuns. And the Lord of the Flies has always been one of my favourite books, and now that. Disgusting.

I am Catholic too and I love the Mass and the traditions. When I die I will have a Catholic funeral for the traditions and the Mass and that is about it.

Elizabeth this is an amazing post.

Love Renee xoxoReneehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11785932958464359112noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4863417462909147257.post-33482940559095220912009-08-17T20:08:16.526-07:002009-08-17T20:08:16.526-07:00ELizabeth, I can not believe what you said about N...ELizabeth, I can not believe what you said about Nie Nie...did you know that I had not yet read this post when I sent you that e mail about my response to her post????

So obviously clear.
LOVE.Laurahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15985522830610197074noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4863417462909147257.post-12572848026844966972009-08-17T18:37:43.379-07:002009-08-17T18:37:43.379-07:00I agree wholeheartedly with Ms. Moon. I have loved...I agree wholeheartedly with Ms. Moon. I have loved NieNie's writing and her honest wrestling with her new life, as in many ways, it parallels my own. She is a beautiful soul, a beautiful woman, and part of her beauty, in my eyes, is her honesty and her faith.
I don't know what it's like to be Catholic by birth. I sure love a lot of Catholic teachers, but find that they are probably considered radical ones, who are probably not embraced by Rome. I suppose that there is great wealth in the tradition, and darkness, as well...as there is in most human beings (and religions are made up of human beings!).Gbergerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08895779471612397202noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4863417462909147257.post-73159853407703972362009-08-17T15:12:00.685-07:002009-08-17T15:12:00.685-07:00It always leads back to love. I am in your camp and believe that the goal and answer is more in spirituality not religion but there are parts of the structure of religion that I like as a parent. Thanks for the point of view - I feel better.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
