Speaking to Me

If the sun and moon should doubt,
They'd immediately go out.
To be in a passion you good may do,
But no good if a passion is in you.

from Auguries of Innocence by William Blake

    breathless...watching, wondering, waiting.

  2. The bill was passed. It's true that it's been watered down too much from what it was at the beginning but nobody ever said it was going to be a walk in the park. Many thanks for that poem, I love Blake. I hope you and yours are fine.

    Greetings from London.

  3. I hope this bill helps your family. I am not a fan of what it became, but now that it is, I will look for what is good in it.

  5. I love this image of Blake's notebook, and share Rebecca's sentiments as well. I wish it hadn't been watered down, but without some compromise, I know it wouldn't have passed. We have made history, and I am so proud of us.

  6. I'm on the "wish it hadn't been watered down" bandwagon but have decided that it is, at least, a start. I'm greatly admiring those democrats who signed on even with threatened repercussions. They decided to follow in the footsteps of long-ago democrats who bravely gave us Social Security and Medicare.

    Best,
    Bonnie
