Lying in bed, in the afternoon, reading Janet Frame

  1. Oh Janet Frame, wonderful Janet Frame. I cry when I read Janet Frame, especially the story of her life, of her near lobotomy and of her two sisters who drowned.

  2. Such synchronicity. Not only was I reading my friend, Edna St. Vee this week, I was also reading Frame's "The Pocket Mirror".

  5. I wanted to respond to your previous post but I burst out laughing instead because I had just written you an e telling you that as far as I was concerned the egg was broken and could not be mended. After reading your post I decided it was too many eggs for you to deal with :) and I didn't send it.

I promised myself an afternoon of watching some movies this weekend,
but the contractors are coming to work tomorrow taking the old immense fountain down, moving the gazebo into its place and emptying the patio for Cecilia to make her home there in a couple of weeks.
    Photos at eleven.

PS: thank you, you know for what.
