The parking sign outside the social services building

where I went for my orientation as an In-Home Supportive Services worker.

  1. I don't know how many times I have seen signs posted that there are misspellings. Do the print shops offer corrections when they see them wrong or just do what the person coming in for the sign requests?

  2. What I want to know is- why are you taking this class? You should be teaching it.

  3. I think that sign needs scrambling, a la the early scene in "Basquiat" ---and of course she should be teaching the class, or at least be exempted from taking it, Ms Moon, but that ain't how the government works. I'll probably have to take it, too, and since I have no one to care for my daughter but me, I'll probably have to bring her with me. I will certainly equip her with alternative sound. Maybe equip myself, too. They have high standards for these positions: you mustn't have a recent conviction for beating up old helpless people!

wv: rexified. So much does need to be rexified......

  5. I'm actually not sure what shocked me more about the sign -- the misspelling or the low price! Our meters in Chicago cost more than 3 bucks!!
