Get you through the day quotes

Oliver, upon waking and the first words out of his mouth:

I'm going to start using the word Firetruck instead of a curse word. Because it starts with an f and ends with an uck.

Henry, while working on an "all about me" essay for school was asked what his three wishes were:

I don't know because I have everything I need.

  1. Write them down--well, I guess you just did. I love reading back over the words out of our babes' mouths.

    Best,

  3. Now that's a wonderful child! My son just asked me that same question and I had a list of wishes. Yes, I'm shallow.

  10. Hahaha, Oliver! And why wouldn't the son of a wordsmith be a wordsmith?

As for Henry, all I can say is that these are the kinds of things that get me through the day. It is testament to the love and grace in your home, even in the midst of all the difficulty. What a gift, when we get a glimpse of these things in our children.

  13. This is my first time visiting your blog. I love it! We have a different "F" word at out house (due to my son with autism and other disabilities). I wrote about it on my site. Would you want to exchange links? I think my followers would like your site as well. Please look at my blog and let me know. Thanks.
