I can't stand it either. I always figured it was a teacher thing, but have encountered it elsewhere and it is creepy. Kind of like the salesclerk who tried to hi-five me in Payless the other night for saying I'd already taken advantage of their promo earlier in the week. Well , it's not the same, I'm just in a rant mood. I still can't get over that one. ( I did not play along, and my daughter was as stunned as I was ) Now if she had of called me mom...
