I love this man

LA's very own John Stewart of the daily rag:

Steve Lopez

(and just in case you're wondering, no, I don't smoke the evil weed -- at least I haven't in the past, oh, twenty-five or so years -- I have contemplated taking it up, though, and blowing the smoke into Sophie's face -- we haven't yet tried medicinal marijuana)

  1. Well, I have. I was a young adult of the '60's. So I will say no more.

  2. Sadly I have never tried weed but I would like to. Perhaps when Canada legalizes it:)

I've been thinking and thinking about your film project, mums sending their younger selves message about caring for their disabled children. I can't come up with anything. I think about it everyday and I still don't know what I would say. Sorry.

  3. I WISH I liked the weed. I don't think it's evil, to tell you the truth. But it's not for me. Sadly.
I have heard Mr. Lopez on NPR and he seems like a truly amazing man. I

  4. Plants aren't evil, people are. We smoked (and grew MJ in our closet) in the early 70's for a short time in our hippie days. It's an herb, a plant. I hope medical MJ becomes legal in every state because I believe it can help a lot of people. Every herb/drug/food on earth has the potential for abuse if you think about it...Alcohol kills more people than wars ever did, but that's another soapbox subject.

    Blessings! :-)

  5. That is the funniest (and most frightening) thing I've read in a long time! I am not against medical marijuana, but I do see the logistical difficulty with trying to keep people from driving high. I certainly wouldn't want to be on the road with any of them! Especially with my kids in the car!
