  4. I'm wishing hard here too. These fortunes reduce me to tears when they hit the center of our desires like this.

I've been away but just caught up and am relieved to see that Sophie got her medicine, amazed to hear that it was through the generosity of a non-profit, and disgusted (and terrified honestly, for all of us) of what it will take to get it from the insurance company. Of all the things we parents of kids with special needs endure, the senseless battles raise my ire the most.

    xoxo

  5. Those darn fortune cookies...but I still have hope that one will really come true.

Soon enough is not fast enough!

  6. No sh*t, Sherlock. Love those ambiguous fortunes - just like real life.

  7. Couldn't they just give you a winning lottery number?

  9. At the risk of sounding flip (I'm not - I do hold you and your family in my heart), I would like to tell you that, as a teenager, our ritual was to add the words "in bed" to the end of the fortune and get a hearty laugh.

In that light, your fortune sounds okay, too. ;-)
