SOTU IEP

If you'd like to read an amazing, unorthodox observation of last night's State of the Union Address and how it pertains -- or doesn't -- to the world of children with disabilities, click

HERE. Jeneva is one of the best writers that I know of on any subject relating to disability.

  1. I don't know. I have never once liked that "anyone can be anything" concept. It's crap. Some people cannot be well. Some people cannot be not born crack-addicted or with FAS. Some people cannot rise above the extreme poverty and lack of opportunity and education in their communities. It's just NOT true. But it doesn't mean that we should just throw up our hands and walk away, whether the problem is illness or disability or poverty or whatever.
I don't know. I don't know anything but I know that compassion and understanding is the beginning of everything.
