Pennies for Japan

Henry and Oliver making wishes and throwing pennies into the fountain for Japan

My profound thanks to each of you who commented on my post the other day. Thank you, particularly, for de-lurking -- your words mean so much to me and I have enjoyed visiting some new and beautiful blogs! If you missed it, please feel free to leave a comment and I will add to my donation which will be made to the Red Cross early next week. I will send my donation keeping in mind that I am connected to everyone, that we are all connected and can participate in alleviating suffering anywhere in the world.

Thank you, from the bottom of my heart (which is quite deep!)

  1. At my university here in Melbourne, Elizabeth, some of the students, led by our Japanese students, took to making at least 1000 paper cranes. Of course they exceeded that number. The gesture, like your family's efforts here is wonderful.

  2. Elizabeth, you have prompted me to get out of the sadness and do something. Even if it seems so small. I have made my own donation, which I normally don't do. I always have felt so insignificant.

  3. That is an amazing photograph. To me, the light surrounding your boys symbolizes your light. While most of us wring our hands, you are doing something. Inspired by you, I have donated, too.

I am in a daze these days. Not much posting, commenting or creating ..... Just thinking thinking.
