What I showed Oliver this morning

Yosemite, 2009

1Jesus left the temple and was walking away when his disciples came up to him to call his attention to its buildings. 2“Do you see all these things?” he asked. “I tell you the truth, not one stone here will be left on another; every one will be thrown down.”....
4Jesus answered: “Watch out that no one deceives you. 5For many will come in my name, claiming, ‘I am the Christ,a’ and will deceive many. 6You will hear of wars and rumors of wars, but see to it that you are not alarmed...

36“No one knows about that day or hour, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son,f but only the Father.

Matthew 24.

  3. I love this photo -- do you know what these are called?

On one of the last camping trips I enjoyed with my late husband and our children, we spent the better part of a week at the banks of a stream just footsteps away from our campsite, where we constructed multitudes of these balancing stone towers.

Lovely to be reminded of that this morning.

    Thank-you. xo

  4. What a great way to approach it. I've been thinking of that quote while everyone has been blabbing about this "event."
Carpe Diem is for every day! xoxoxo

  5. I love that picture. And that's all I'm going to say about the rapture.

  6. do you know, i've really been so out of the loop that my daughter had to explain what the hubbub was all about... and this is so true - no man knows, only the Father. and i might add that why are we worrying? each day has enough trouble of it's own...

  7. How sad for all of those people, who today are realizing they have been following a man (lower case man). But, fact is, they probably are not realizing much in that regard, but are simply making small adjustments to their calendars. You are a wise mama ... And you are raising wise children.
