After reading that article, you need cheering up,

so here are some more photos of peonies.

You're not sick of seeing these, are you?

If you're sick of peonies -- and I don't understand you if you are -- then here's a peek at my bakery cart corner.

And if you're sick of seeing that, I'd advise to you to go back and reread that article.

  1. Beautiful peonies, lovely mixer (much like mine!) and the cranes. Sophie's cranes.
    Thank you for the window.

  2. Sick of peonies? Never...ever...they are exquisite. I wonder if I could grow some here? hhhmmmm. How long do they bloom in a season and it it only Spring?

I want to bake a cake. I think for Ryan's last day of school I will...just for him.

  3. I like the cabinet in your bakery corner. A serene image. Is that bounty of peonies from your back yard?

  4. That article killed me a little. Shudder. Horrific.

My son refers to these workers as 'overgrown camp counselors', and sometimes that's the very nicest thing to say about them. Although the ones in our state seem to have to jump through a few more hoops enough to weed out outright criminals.

Peonies are more than appropriate. xoxoxoxoxo

  7. Oh, I really enjoyed the peek at your bakery cart. I love to see how people organize things. It inspires me. No, that isn't true. It calms me. (Which I truly needed after reading that article.)

  9. Beautiful! Great follow-up to the article I can't stop thinking about. Such cruelty, indifference, lack of empathy...it makes my heart hurt. The peonies definitely helped.

  11. No, not sick of the peonies. Love them.
No, it doesn't make me feel better. But thanks anyway.

Am off to work so I can afford my life insurance so that my girl doesn't end up in hellhole if I die. Yeah.

  14. Thank you for the photographic therapy! Your peonies are exquisite! Mine are still hard little superball-like buds and I can't breathe for the anticipation of seeing them burst forth in that lovely hot pink color. I'll be sure to post pics when they finally do.

Pays to have a long growing season like you. Maybe someday I will, too.
