I thought I didn't care, but I sort of do

so if you don't mind would you pop on over and Vote for Me at Top 25 SoCal Mom Blogs? After an initial burst of enthusiasm and excitement, the voting dropped off and where I was in first place, I'm now dropping fast. The top person has over 600 votes which seems outrageous because who really does go to these sites and vote for blogs? My friend Gretchen, over at Second Blooming, has been shameless in her self-promotion and is inching up on me. Although I must say her recent post about her trip to a water park with her son was brilliantly funny -- the monologue alone of her mother-in-law, which you have to read in an Edith Bunker accent -- is worth giving her a vote instead of me.

So, there you go. And since I can't see whether you vote for me or not, do whatever you want. But you can vote every day, until the 9th. I'm not sure what I'll win, but you can be sure I'll share it with you.

:)

  7. I am SO glad you're doing this, I was starting to feel guilty. I hope you realize that you mentioned this exactly ONCE in your blog and racked up 135 or so votes, whereas I have been shamelessly begging DAILY, and am only a few ahead of you. I know that I have absolutely no shot at winning this thing, if I can just be in the final Top 25, I'll be happy. Good luck to us both!

  8. My second vote for you. I figure that's one for each of my hands...

Thinking of you today. I have to make a cake for the second birthday of our garden club. I don't think I've made one since mid-December and the thought is daunting. You make it look easy to be delicious.
