Music as the "quickening art"**

You must watch this in a spare six minutes. For those of you who know the healing properties of music, this will confirm it. For those of you who might not know of its power, particularly on the elderly, the infirm and disabled this will open your eyes -- and ears -- and heart. Plus, there's some Oliver Sacks in there, too -- and if you're like me, anything that physician/philosopher does or says is worth paying attention to and hearing.

**The philosopher Kant said this.

  7. I just saw this on facebook and I wondered if at every nursing home they gave out headphones and iPods what it would be like for all the patients? Can you just see each one opening up in song? Wow that would be beautiful.

  8. The Baby has music therapy every Monday. She starts in the parking lot whooping and hollering in anticipation. This was an awesome video.

If I was allowed to take video of my favorite little nugget dancing in her wheelchair it would make your day.
