Rhymes

Santa Monica, November 2007

All human beings
should try to
learn before
they die what
they are running
from, and to, and why.

James Thurber

All that is gold does not glitter,
Not all those who wander are lost;
The old that is strong does not wither,
Deep roots are not reached by the frost.

J.R.R. Tolkien

  4. Love both Thurber and Tolkien. Have you ever read Thurber's essay, "More Alarms at Night," from his book, "My Life and Hard Times?" One of my all-time favorites.
