Caketastic

For those of you new to the old blog, I make cakes. I make cakes for money. And pleasure, sometimes. Yesterday was one of those days. Pleasure and money, a cake for a sweet young lady and her equally sweet mama.

  2. SOOOO cute! you are a woman of many talents and i am jealous!! did you know my "dream job" would be to be a fabulous baker/cake decorator? of course, i can't cook, bake, and am not too artistically inclined so not sure it would ever work out :)

  8. Seriously, how do you get the sprinkles on? I picture you turning the whole cake on it's side and rolling it through a trail of sprinkles, but that seems rather impractical.

    By the way, it looks amazing!

I am learning about macaroons, not from my mother in my childhood but from other women and their blogs..I am not even sure I am right but I think I am learning that they are macaroons....(after seeing the beautiful colored cookies pictured on 3 "mother blogs" in one week.).. how beautiful they appear, ..... but I showed the cookbook labelled "macaroons" at TJMAX to my daughter and she responded ...yeah, but yuk... do... they... taste... good? Are they inherently deceptive?
