I visited LA once in December and (being a New Englander) was stunned when I saw a man buying his Xmas tree wearing nothing but a pair of shorts and flip flops. Every house seemed to have Xmas lights and decorations hanging from palm trees. I was so surprised by the incongruosness of it all and then laughed at myself for being so ignorant of the way sunny states celebrated the season.
Not unlike Christmas in Mexico. Which means...awesome!
