I found out
today that tomorrow is Sophie's
last day of school for three weeks. I thought vacation began for her
NEXT FRIDAY.
Those of you
in the know will appreciate my sentiments right about NOW.
Please send words of encouragement in lieu of flowers.
Who takes off the whole week before Christmas? Hopefully everything will come together for planning for you. And maybe some extra trips to the beach for Sophie to talk with her mermaid friends.
ReplyDeleteOH my. I am IN THE KNOW and you gave me a momentary panic attack. It has now subsided after a quick confirmation of the vacation schedule. May your week be quiet and lovely. It could happen. Christmas is a time of miracles.
ReplyDeleteHow's that medical marijuana thing coming along?
ReplyDeleteWords of encouragement and lots of booze?
ReplyDeleteFor now, I'm sending love and light and a fervent hope for some respite care so you can go to a bookstore with a friend at least once next week while the boys are still in school.
What Ms. Moon said.
ReplyDeleteWishing you slow drowsy mornings and no seizures. Maybe?
Holy Crapola. Should I tell the FedEx guy to leave the case of pre-mixed margaritas on the porch?
ReplyDeleteAfter my crappy start to my day, that little tid bit of info might have just sent me over the edge.
ReplyDeletePeace my friend. That is what I am sending you.
Well, I would hope ALL students are out tomorrow ... a shorter school year or a shorter school day for disabled kids with an IEP (unless stated so in the IEP) would clearly violate IDEA and FAPE...sorry, schools are asses at times! Spoken as a 30 year, thankfully retired public HS principal.
ReplyDeleteYikes! It DOES seem early for Christmas break to begin. We don't get out until next Thursday!
ReplyDeleteWhat The?!?!? What kind of school IS this?!?!? Even the private schools around here aren't off that early or for THAT long! I'm doing the sign of the cross for you right now.
ReplyDeleteunfreakin'believable...
Oh no, my dear. Hang in there. Red wine, deep breaths, repeat.
ReplyDeleteThe perfect photo. Sweet Jesus, and all the angels, help poor Elizabeth out.
ReplyDeleteoh, I KNOW. Long ago, but I remember!
ReplyDeleteLots of comedies on the telly...funny movies to make you belly laugh.
