After a hectic day of weird links and other internetsamania, my Shebooks e-book is up and ready to roll on all platforms. I encourage you to download it from the Shebooks website as this is an amazing new platform that aims to close the gap between male and female publication and writing. I subscribed and have downloaded and read many wonderful memoirs and short fiction selections from the website. You can also help support the platform by donating to their
Equal Writes Kickstarter campaign.
Here's the link to my author page where you can also buy and download the memoir.
Thank you so much for your support -- it's hard to really take it all in, but know that I am grateful!
It's on my kindle as we speak! Yay!!! :) So excited for you :)
ReplyDeleteAh, I am being defeated by technology. I don't have a kindle - I am a die-hard nook girl. Can I get this for nook/adobe via shebooks?
ReplyDeleteHooray & YIPPEE!
ReplyDeleteI am grateful. For you and for Sophie and for your story and for your boys and for all the stories.
ReplyDeleteElizabeth, I just read your book and it is beautifully written. I know about Sophie and some of the details I know but put all together, I just cannot imagine 19 years of the love, care and anguish that continue for you. I do not know how to get that last chapter. Can I get it from SheBooks where I bought it? BTW, I CANNOT BELIEVE THAT AWFUL WOMAN's comment about Sophie not knowing how beautiful her hair is. BTW, I did get a perm at 5 because I have such straight hair and was very jealous of my 2 sisters who have naturally curly hair. Sweet Jo
ReplyDeleteJill: Yes, the book is available through Amazon on Kindle but also across all e-reading platforms, including Nook on the Shebooks link!
ReplyDeleteSweet Jo: There should be 12 chapters with an epilogue in the corrected version. If you downloaded it through Shebooks, you would have gotten the right one. I'm not sure what's going on with Amazon, yet, but that last chapter basically introduces the medical marijuana part and isn't absolutely necessary to the rest! Thank you for your steadfast support!
Love the new picture at the top of the blog! Also, congratulations on your new book!
ReplyDeleteI was going to say "It must have been great therapy for you to write it", but didn't want to get banned or something :)
Amazon sent me the complete book for my Kindle.
ReplyDeleteI don't have enough ways to talk about this book and your writing. It is so gripping. Full of your heart, full of Sophie's spirit. I'm not done yet, halfway through. Never stop writing, Elizabeth, you are a light.
I really want to read your book.I read tge excerpt and had flashbacks to when my daughter was diagnosed with infantile spasms almost two years ago.I couldn't function for a few days afterwards because of the horror that that diagnosis seems...thankfully she has been spasm free for 20months now.Her delays are pretty significant but she brings more light and joy to my life than anyone else.
ReplyDeleteI might go buy your book and keep it on my kindle app for another day when I am feeling more emotionally resilient!thankyou for always sharing so honestly.
