At the urging of The Brothers, I downloaded Trivia Crack on my phone and proceeded to get -- yes -- addicted to it. During a rousing game today, Oliver had this question under the history tab:

Which was one of the first North American settlements?

The answer, of course, was Jamestown (the game is multiple choice), and Oliver was very excited to get it.

I said, And who was it that taught you that? BOOM!

Evidently, I pushed the bonding moment one infinitesimal bit too far because I got an enormous eye roll and this:

Some crazy loser woman who says BOOM!

I slunk off, vowing not to ever use the word BOOM! again, at least in the presence of a millennial.
