I took that picture on a road trip last weekend in Washington and Colorado where I was visiting colleges with Henry.
Did ya'll know that my boy is graduating from high school next month?
I'm blocking it out and will say no more.
Here we are in Spokane, Washington, on the campus of Gonzaga University.
We might have a basketball rivalry thing going on next year.
Hmmmmm. Just saying.
I remember him when he was so little and now, a man, setting off into his own world. It's been amazing to watch. He has the world at his fingertips and I wish him all the best.
ReplyDeleteThese photos are wonderful, Elizabeth. Space ships over the plane? I can see your dad so clearly in the profile of Henry, that same intelligence and kindness - a lovely combination.
With you living in LA, I'm very surprised this boy has not been hit up repeatedly by modeling agencies. He is over the top handsome. It seems, as well, that his exterior mirrors his interior.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful photos. Exciting times.
ReplyDeleteIt simply does not seem possible that he's about to graduate.
ReplyDeleteAnd I agree completely with what King said.
Go, Zags! I've never known anyone that went to Gonzaga, that didn't love it (and I've known quite a few). Peace be with you during this transition.
ReplyDeletelots of kids from my guys' school at Gonzaga though mine went to Colorado and Texas. All great schools, great LAX. Just went to a big game past weekend
ReplyDeleteWonderful, evocative photographs. Oh my, Henry is a dreamboat. I hope his fellow freshmen are ready for this sweet, handsome boy, um, young man, to rock their world.
ReplyDeleteYour boys always give me such hope for the future of men and maleness and all that.
ReplyDeleteLooking forward to hearing the final decision. If he becomes a Zag, you're all welcome to visit on your way to and fro!
ReplyDeleteI love Boulder, Co. but I know the U. and the town have a pretty rocky relationship due to it being a mega party school. Is there a school that isn't? But, Co. is a beautiful place to live, for sure.
ReplyDeleteRemember: try not to freak. They leave home. They go on and have exciting lives which they then share with US. 10 years ago i did indeed freak when my one and only graduated high school. I look back now and laugh. Could've saved myself a lot of anxiety. Oh well, it's our job as moms, right?
No UNC??
ReplyDeleteYour handsome child. And if he's here in Washington State, you might have to visit me in Seattle. Just saying.
ReplyDeleteA difficult transition to be sure, when they grow up and depart on their own Adventure of Life... bittersweet for us Moms. What an extremely Handsome Son you have and I know you are beyond Proud of him in every way imaginable! Dawn... The Bohemian
ReplyDeleteTalk about a rite of passage -- for both of you!
ReplyDeleteWhat a handsome son you have! Wow.
ReplyDeleteI love the travel photos. I agree with Paddinton, they're evocative.
I hope he is a Zag with my middle daughter and that we can share some tears and laughter and wine the last weekend in August.
ReplyDeleteYes, wonderful pictures! Go Zags :o)
ReplyDeleteI'm so jealous that you went to the Boulder Dushanbe Tea House! That place has so many memories for me but my favorite was my first date with my husband. Man, I miss Boulder. ~Sarah from Columbus (OH)
