Crip Camp

Ya'll! There's shit, and then there's holy shit! The shit-show that is our country is digging our grave, planting rue, but there's this Obama-financed film to look forward to, and I've watched the trailer about five million times and have felt such a surge of energy, I don't know what to do with myself.

Here's to the raucous ones, to the institutionalized, to the shy ones, to the angry and the disenfranchised, to the trailblazers, to our children and those that came before them. Oh, yeah -- and to the music.

Here's a cool review.

  3. I'd read the review but not seen the trailer.
    DAMN!
Those times were special and did engender change and that's all there is to it. And now the Obamas are carrying on in that spirit. Just beautiful.

  5. That Trailer of this Film was uplifting! During this Dark turbulent time of the shit-show we need more of this type of Film to remind us of all that is Good, all that is Resilient! I Loved the Name of the Film too, Raw Humor sans being PC... which is what my Special Needs Family Members prefer... they've always displayed a Raw Dark Humor about their Disabilities, not everyone 'Gets It', I guess you have to Live it to see the Humor that you can extract from it... Laughter being like a Good Medicine to the Soul. Thanks for Sharing this, I didn't know about it.

  6. Can't wait to see it. What a joyful movie! Richie singing "Freedom" behind it all speaks volumes.

  7. This is fantastic! I wondered how the Obamas would use their Netflix capital.

  8. I keep watching this trailer over and over again and can't wait to see the full film. I wouldn't have imagined such inclusion and equality back in those days. Thanks so much for sharing this uplifting film with us!
