Stay Tuned

I've quit my job at the Ultra-Orthodox Jewish girls' school. (Bless their hearts.)

I will be writing about my experiences there, and I will be wearing that exact ensemble you see above, freed at last from the "modest" clothing covering every inch of my offensive female skin.

Stay tuned.

  12. This is my last post. How do you know I am not in a bi-racial relationship? How do you know what my political beliefs are? There are a lot of assumptions here. My ethnic group comes from every country and every continent. We are very diverse. My point was not to compare women to apples but to say everyone has a perspective and "love thy fellowman or women" means agreeing to disagree and still be kind to each other both in actions and words. I always look for the good in everyone and every situation. When did being a mom or wife became a crime? When did having children become equated to the only job of a woman? In my community we work, we have kids, we love our families, we love our husbands, and we try to help others. I personally try my best not to judge others. The first post I read on the school and teachers, I felt judged. I just wanted you to see a different opinion. I hoped to explain that even when you disagree or dislike another human being you can at least see the good in them. Please know that just because I have a different belief system and dress differently, I am not all the things listed above. Please see me as the person who said Good Afternoon and who waited to see you when you entered the teacher's lounge. I was sad when you left and even sadder that what I thought was a friendship has resulted in the words in your original post. I feel that the words in the post are less than tolerant. I feel like tolerance of our difference would not need to be posted in this way. I hope all of you that read this post will take a moment to take a breath, hug your loved ones and remember we are all human beings on this planet. Love not words that hurt others! It takes one person at a time to build a better world. I wish you luck in all you do!
