Since you asked,
this is what we had for dinner last night:
Antipasti
Assorted cheeses and crackers
Sopressata - handmade by Cousin Guiseppe
Roasted tomatoes with garlic and mozzarella cheese
Olive oil and garlic-rubbed toasts
Salad
Pittule - basically fried dough, some sprinkled with powdered sugar and some filled with anchovies. This is a traditional thing my Italian family makes together at Christmas on a day called Pittule Day. We just decided to have our own mini version of it. I'll post more photos later --

Oh man, so jealous. Your Italians eat much better than my Italians. Mommy tends to lean toward canned mushrooms and frozen brocolli. Sigh...
ReplyDeleteNote to self: stop reading Elizabeth's blog on an empty stomach. YUM.

ReplyDeleteI am so happy for you that you are having this experience!
ReplyDeleteYUM! and... WHY aren't you my next door neighbor letting me crash your dinners?
