Sitting Down

The more you sense the rareness and value of your own life, the more you realize that how you use it, how you manifest it, is all your responsibility. We face such a big task, so naturally we sit down for a while.

  1. Phew. That quote was getting me really depressed until the last line.
    Thanks.

  2. From now on when people ask me, "what happened?" I'm going to say I just need to sit down for a while to ponder the rarity of my life!

  3. Oh my gosh, I LOVE this quote. It is such a beautiful antidote to the frenetic mentality of our culture.

  4. I read the best quotes on Blogger and Elizabeth, so many are yours that you post. And I loved the photo with it.

  5. I love this. I re-read it a few times, and feel like I need to continue to re-read it, because it's true, and we can all benefit from its wisdom. Perhaps that is part of the genius of the blogging community: we invite one another to come and sit down for a while, and listen, as we face this big task together.

  6. God, that is beautiful. I have been sitting down for a long time it seems. I don't want to get up. Oh, I am tired.

Who is the lovely woman in the photo?
