Sometimes light only illuminates bad housekeeping

  1. Light isn't always a good thing. It just came to me that living where is rains 360 days a year can be a good thing.

  2. Looks like home to me :)

Just wanted to say also that sometimes when a post is light like that I click on the "you might like" offerings and I love it. Hoping around back and forth on your blog is always like exploring that little box of treasures one keeps on the shelf. Beautiful, interesting and unusual little trinkets of Elizabeth. Always something thrilling, heartwrenching and inspiring. I love wandering around in it.

  3. Dust and dog hair seem to especially show up in that "certain" light. I'm always hoping no unexpected guests show at that time.

  5. I don't know what you're talking about - you have nothing on the floor to trip over or anything obviously sticky. That would be our version of all cleaned up for company.

  6. I know exactly what you mean!

To paraphrase Bob Marley: When the light falls, it don't fall on one man's house, remember that ...

  8. All: Thanks for your sweet and funny comments, but that layer of dust on the bottom shelf was so thick you could have choked on it. I honestly don't remember the last time I dusted it!

  10. That's when I'm thankful for the dog who snarfs up the crumbs on the floor as well as wishing there was such a thing as a dust-eating dog. The tumbleweeds of dog hair that collect in the corners are what gets me every time. Especially when the kids come whizzing through and the fur scuttles six inches in one direction or another. Ugh.

  12. Ahh, tell me about it. Dusting is my nemesis... but not dust, apparently...

  13. This is why I vacuum at around 11 a.m. each day -- the light hits all the dust motes JUST RIGHT!
