My BlogRoll and All Links Have Disappeared!

Vintage Candid Mug Shot, 1920s

I have no idea what's going on in mysterious Blogger blogworld, but my beloved blogroll has disappeared from my sidebar and I have no idea how to get to all of your blogs!

Help!

If you know about this problem (and I poked around a bit on Help Forums, so I think many are having it) and know what to do, let me know.

And please, please, please, if you're a regular reader with a blog that you know once sat beautifully on my sidebar, please leave a comment with your blog address so that I can create another list.

Oy vey.

  1. Oh vey indeed! Mine is also gone. Ms Moon's is intact, which is how I got here. I checked the blogger complaint page and we are not alone. This pisses me off so much, every day I work through my list, and finding them is going to be difficult in the future. Le sigh..............

  2. Yikes! knock on wood - mine is still there. So, duh...I don't know how to do links. But here is mine and a few others that I know you read.

    http://cubaninlondon.blogspot.com/
    http://impressionsofanexpat.blogspot.com/
    http://poemsandnovels.blogspot.com/ (that's Maggie)
    http://melcarroll.blogspot.com/
    http://callingdrbombay.blogspot.com/
    and of course http://www.blessourhearts.net/

I hope it's just a glitch and it comes back all by it's self. Good luck!

  3. How strange! I still have mine, fortunately. I wonder why it affected blogrolls and not all the other sidebar items? Truly weird.

  4. This is what another blog friend (Lucy from box-elder.blogspot.com) wrote when it happened to her:
"After a bit, however, a more helpful non-expert (this has happened to a number of people and seems to be something to do with an 'it-ain't-broke-but-we'll-bugger-about-pretending-to-fix-it-anyway' change to the search box widget which has spilled over into the links list) suggested searching out a cached copy of the blog and getting the html from there. I had no idea how to do this but found out about the first bit and quickly copied all the URLs into a notepad thingy, so I've saved the data if Blogger can't fix it."

Anyway, this is me and I like your blog: https://interimarrangements.blogspot.com/

  5. I'd be lost without mine! It is still there. I'm tempted to hand copy it to my old-fashioned address book!!

  6. I use Feedly to give me the blogs I read. I have no idea what's going on but I bet they'll fix it.

  7. Weird! Mine is still there (although I really need to update it, I realized). Anyway, I hope it comes back and you don't have to redo it from scratch, but just in case you do, here's my url http://the-writing-life.blogspot.com

  9. According to a response at a Blogger forum they are aware of the problem and working on it. They probably messed things up while making unnecessary improvements. Why can't tech companies just leave things alone when they are working just fine? I guess I'll just wait a few days to see if mine comes back and if it doesn't then I'll just have to figure it all out. I was probably due for a sidebar update anyway.

  10. If you go to : http://cachedview.com/ and type in your blog url, then click on the google cache button below, it'll give you an older copy of your front page. I did it, and got a screen shot so at least I can remember who was on the list.
Unfortunately, the add a gadget feature also seems to be broken (at least for me) so I can't put the list back manually.

  12. One of the reasons I left Blogger was all the technical issues but Wordpress isn't any better and way more user unfriendly. meh

  14. I hope the new plan for Sophie is helping her and am really curious to hear what it involves. As you know, we're always hunting for new ideas for C. (not that cannabis hasn't reduced the seizure tally but we crave more improvement).
