Who is she, really? What does she know? I say everything and mean nothing. I say nothing and mean everything.
So much is fathomless, even her eyes, yet she is entirely her self as I've known her for twenty-three years.
Your portrait of Sophie captures the way I have been thinking of Sophie often in the last few days since reading an older post where you shared a photo of you and Sophie when Sophie was a few weeks old, along with a photo of you a little over a year ago. The post was titled "Identity is Fluid." For me, there is a clear light that Sophie radiates. As you wrote, "entirely her self." No guile. The word that comes to my mind when I look for a long time at this particular portrait of Sophie is "trust."
Mary Moon: Thank you so much for always being so supportive of me!
am: What a beautiful comment! I can't tell you how much I appreciate your thoughtful words -- all your words, because you always say such interesting things that give me inspiration. It's rare to have someone who doesn't "know" you "get" you, and you not only support me but show me new ways to look at my very own stories/writing. Thank you!
Birdie: It's always so good to hear from you. Thank you.
She is lovely, and despite all the heartache of her trials on this earth, which you share with her day after day, she is still Sophie and such a credit to herself and to you.
As your other readers have said. There is no denying the depth of soul in Sophie's eyes, on her beautiful face. Most of us are enigmas to ourselves, probably to others. Sophie among our vast family. Love to you all. xo
The light on Sophie is celestial, and the way she is looking into you, such connection. You captured a moment of stillness and awareness, which makes me wonder what conversations you and Sophie have in your astral travels during sleep. I know they are profound.
You just said more with those few words than most of us can say in thousands.

I see wonder in her eyes. She knows. You know. On a different level of knowledge.
ReplyDeleteShe is entirely her self was a powerful statement. Being entirely our selves, we should all aspire to that.
