These boys, like my Owen, remind me of cubs. Tumbling, rolling cubs.
happy solstice. that is the perfect photo
Oh my, I love that quote.
The beauty of children.
Here at last on the East Coast...thought it would never arrive
ahh, brotherly love!
My brother is one of my all time favorite people & photos of us together as kids make me laugh. Your shot's a clear keeper. [And is summer half over, or only the year? Must go check. We haven't caught ANY lightening bugs yet. The horror!]
Did he ever write a poem about what to do about itchy mosquito bites?
He is so right on about that. Twilight lingers in the summer .... Those are the best thoughts ... Not like the ones that come and go and vanish like vapor leaving little or no trail of thought behind them. I could do with a summer twilight brain :)
I love sostices, the turning of a corner and balance of night and day. I like to watch solstice sunsets and see continuance in the orange glow as the sun leaves the sky.Your children are continuance too, in the best way.
What a wonderful picture and memory. Great quote! Love Wallace Stevens!Noelle
