Sophie can't really isolate her index finger and point, but she can swipe pretty well and really responded to the first program we downloaded called Baby Chord.
I think Oliver has the most interested and helpful expression in all of those photos--what a wonderful instructor he will be! How magical it must be for Sophie. Let the swiping continue!
This is what I have to say- the verification word is "wings" and I have nothing to add to that except to say I love you. (Didn't this happen to me here once before?)
What a wonderful friend! I love to see your son showing her the iPad (he is adorable)! And, just got this in my email box today -- there is a new iPad/iPod app for tracking seizure activity called My Epilepsy Diary.
I did up a list of good apps for the ipad recently and there is one that springs to mind that might be good for Sophie. It is called Line Art and not being able to seperate her fingers too well wouldn't interfere with the operation of it. It would be a good 'cause and effect' app for her to get used to the touchscreen. Fab photos :) Jen
Awesome. This would be such a great tool for Bennett...if he just could get past the stage here he chucks everything across the room. This is FAR too expensive a thing to be shotput.
we bought Queen Teen an iPad to see if she could use it and it's been so great for her. It was tricky at first for her because of her hand tremors and hypotonia. Controlling the amount of pressure on the pad was hard. But after several weeks of "playing," she's gotten much better and is able to use it more independently. She loves it, and it showed the school she is capable of using it. They've been discussing the pros and cons of buying her one for over a year, so I finally bought her one at home and then showed the school how well she's doing. Still don't have one for school use, but it's in the works at last.
goosebumps.
ReplyDeleteTears! Those photos just made my day - Hallelujah! I'm so thankful to your dear, generous friend.

ReplyDeleteI love this!
ReplyDeleteThe iPad is it on a stick (and I want one very badly - that and an iPhone, neither of which I'm getting any time soon).
ReplyDeleteThat's wonderful! I hope it will be a great tool for her, and she's so lucky to have sweet brothers who can help her.
ReplyDeleteYay! Congratulations!
