Since I was a little girl I have wanted to look out on the earth from space. I never aspired to be an astronaut, but I would love to go on a ride. If you have twenty minutes, watch this beautiful, beautiful video. It will make you happy to be alive.
We are stardust.

Beautiful & amazing!
ReplyDeleteWhat a jewel of a world we live in. Seeing the tissue-thin wrapper around this Earth really brings home our collective vulnerability. Time to wake up and attend to our dear planet as we would care for our own children.
ReplyDeleteI was just going to take your word for it because I only had 30 minutes before the lasagna was ready and I was going to catch up here & elsewhere on my reader... but my son walked by, saw the planet and insisted we watch. The girl came over too, so I had one child on each knee, both leaning back into me and quietly watching for the full 18 minutes. Best 18 minutes of my weekend - hell, best 18 minutes in weeks. Such miraculous bits of life - mine & ours, perfectly positioned from the sun.
ReplyDeleteHello,
ReplyDeleteI'm so glad you liked it.
Thanks,
