For instance, I drove in my mother's car from Atlanta to Hilton Head. Truckers ripped on by my luxury vehicle, honked their horns and gave me high fives. I thought, at first, that they thought I was cute. And then I realized that they were showing me approval for this:
ah... family.
ReplyDeleteFWIW, I think you are cute!
ReplyDeleteHeehee!! Too funny. But I bet they thought you were pretty cute, too. I'm readying the manor for a group of family scheduled to descend in 10 short days.
ReplyDeleteMy parents and I have many things we did not agree on. Thankfully, that was not one of them. Tolerance indeed!
ReplyDeleteHahhahahhha. Noooooooooo.
ReplyDeleteI guess those truckers are looking for a cute Republican. Hope you get to swim at Hilton Head, cool down and relax. x0 N2
ReplyDeleteOh Jesus. Bless your heart.
ReplyDeleteBut you are cute, you know.
HA! YOu mean that wasn't YOUR bumper sticker ??;) winkwink
ReplyDeleteOh honey, you are in hell!
ReplyDeletethat is so funny!
ReplyDeletebut you are cute too - so there!
Drink a lot of wine and talk about the weather.
ReplyDeleteGood luck
Oh Goddess!!! I fell off my chair and yelled. Both dogs go up and moved. Holy Tamoly.
ReplyDeleteWell. Have fun tolerating.
;-) xoxooxo!
That is classic! Tolerance and humor sometimes need to go hand in hand. xoxo
ReplyDeleteHAH! I can just picture your expression! And your 17 people totally beats our 6 people, even though my 6 are all crazy Italians.
ReplyDeleteahh! the conjoined joys of family and politics.
ReplyDeletea blessed excercise, indeed.
godspeed.
You made me laugh with this one. I'm pretty sure that the honking was induced by the perfect blend of cute AND republican :)
ReplyDeleteI'm chuckling. You never know, do you? And your sweet mother loves you in spite of your differences. I have the same difference with mine...from time to time we have to agree to disagree--and not talk about it.
ReplyDeleteHope everyone has a good time at Hilton Head, and Sophie enjoys the Atlantic beaches.
i have been so sick and just had to sneak on over and check in on everyone.
ReplyDeleteyou have just brought me laughter!
thank you for that.
xoxoxoxo,
rebecca
When things get rough, remember it could be worse ... you could be living under the same roof with 16 other people ALL the time!
ReplyDeleteHow can you always be so damn funny? Just read through your "travelogue" here. Hope you are having some fun.
ReplyDeleteThat is hilarious - is it irony? - not sure what to call it, but thank you for sharing it.
