Your cake looks stunning, Elizabeth. As we used to say when we were children and impressed by some new food stuff someone had cooked: it looks 'shop bought'.
These days though we are more impressed by that which is 'home made'.
I am moved by your blog. My son had seizures as a toddler, and now at 25, although seizure-free for many years, deals daily with the lingering side effects. Glad I found you here.
Can I just eat the frosting and the chocolate curls, please? (I'm sure the cake is phenomenal, but I'm gluten intolerant, so only the frosting speaks to me).
Oh my gosh, that looks so delicious. If I had that cake I would share a big fat slice with my friend Kelly & her daughter (who stop by my house frequently looking for baked goods). And then I would have a slice every morning with my coffee and a slice every night for dessert until it was all gone. And then I would weep.

ReplyDeleteSee why I could never do a "cleanse"?
Um yum - 'nuff said! x
ReplyDeleteTHAT'S the one for me. Yum.
ReplyDeleteIf it wasn't you, I would say, "that's just plain mean!"

ReplyDeleteDear God.
ReplyDeleteOH why are we not neighbors?! If we were and I was sampling I would need to be rolled around in a wheelbarrow...I would grow incredibly large.
