I really try and embrace what ours is here in LA but after 25 years in Upstate NY,well, I miss that fall. Everyone should experience that leaf changing beauty at least once in their lifetime. But I will use my mantra that I transfer to many aspects of my life and at is, "you get what you get and you don't throw a fit" ... Advice handed down to me by a wise 6 year old once.
Sweet gum trees? I miss those from living in Ohio many years ago. They aren't hardy in my part of New York state. (Hello, Heather, from Upstate NY!) Still, there are lovely sights to see here in the fall, and I'm grateful.
And so does Florida. Subtle, but truly there.
