It's no confession but, rather, the disgruntled ravings of a Not-Into-the-Olympics-Spectacle-Girl that makes me admit to crying a bit last night when I watched this story.
I still get teary when I see the Superbowl Microsoft commercial about tech... and speech apps, w/the football player & his son. Even on the 5th or 6th viewing. And I didn't even watch the Superbowl. I guess I'm still getting used to the idea that we will be that family and floored by the technology that will make it possible.
And I can see why you would be. It's the stories like this which make the Olympics something truly worth watching at times.
ReplyDeleteIt's a wonderful story. really wonderful.
ReplyDeleteCan't help but love it -- it's humans at our best.
ReplyDeleteMe, too.
ReplyDeleteI cried too. They are wonderful.
ReplyDeleteAfter seeing it the other night my husband said - I really hope that kid wins the Gold. I glanced over and his eyes were brimming with tears.
