Welcome home, and I hope you enjoyed your solo drive up to fetch O. I was making the same trek today to pick up Claire from camp in NC. Best part of camp may be the 4 hours of listening to a book on tape for mama.
The returns have to be the best, Elizabeth. For me, too I want my children to go out into the world but when they go it hurts a little and when they return, there is so much joy.
He is so gorgeous. I'd be glad to have him home too.

ReplyDeleteIf Oliver is anything like my kids when they arrived home from camp, he now needs a shower and wants a home-cooked meal!
ReplyDeletewow that was quick! was he homesick? my kids get terribly homesick - I don't think they would make it :)
ReplyDeleteYay! And no poison ivy, I hope! (Is there poison ivy in California?)
ReplyDeleteOh, yes, I can perfectly identify myself with that feeling of welcoming your little one home again. Enjoy the moment, before the flee the nest! :-)
