for taking my sons to the Los Angeles Car Show at the LA Convention Center along with thousands of other car-crazed, nacho-eating, beer-drinking, consumer-driven humans. Whoever said the car culture of this grand country is dead should have been there.
I hated every minute of it.
O.K. -- the Aston Martins were beautiful.
You are a far, far better Mother than I could ever be. Auto show? oh my! I will make sure they are reminded of this when they are older.
ReplyDeleteHero AND a saint. I am not even kidding you.
ReplyDeleteDoll, you need to go to a monster truck rally next.
ReplyDeleteYou hated it you say, Elizabeth, but I'll bet your boys loved it. Boys and their cars. My three year old grandson collects toy ones like are marbles. He loves them.
ReplyDeleteI know I know! We go to Monster Jam every year in Tampa with 75,000 beer drinking, turkey leg sobering, cammo wearing southern folk. It's the ONLY activity that sells out Raymond James Stadium if that tells you anything about where I live and it is so popular that they have added a second date which was also sold out last year as well. Oh Mommy! Can we go both nights??? AARRRGGGHHHHHHHHHH!
ReplyDeleteYou're a good mama.
ReplyDeleteThe only thing that would be worse would be a professional sports event, live - ugh. You are a hero and a saint, as Ms. Moon says.
ReplyDeleteseriously?
ReplyDeleteyou could die right now and go
straight to heaven.
hero for sure Elizabeth!
ReplyDeleteYour photos are upside down and I have a distinct feeling of vertigo :) .... Which is probably how a car show with anyone's boys would leave me feeling :)
ReplyDeletedang.
ReplyDeletethat is serious mother love.
Hero!
ReplyDeleteVery, very well done! They will ALWAYS remember this.
ReplyDeleteYou are a good Mom. There's no way in hell I would have gone there. :)
ReplyDeleteyou are REALLY GREAT to have taken them, and seeing as how i'm married to a "car guy" who is also an open-minded, rational and thoughtful person, I can assure you that the two aren't ALWAYS mutually exclusive!
ReplyDeleteYou earned your mom-stripes.
ReplyDeletewhat a good mommy you are :)
ReplyDeletep.s., thank god i have all girls ;P
