I'm thinking about

The more we persist in the misunderstanding of the phenomenon of life, the more we analyze it out into strange finalities and complex purposes of our own, the more we involve ourselves in sadness, absurdity and despair.

I hope your camera was picked up by someone thoughtful who is calling the hotel as we speak ( or type).

Hmmm. I think of a conversation I had with a young woman the other day. 16. She was so upset that she didn't know what happened when we die, if there is a heaven or hell, reincarnation, or what have you. 16. Upset. She wanted to stop it all, thinking, living. I said, don't be upset. Instead let your questions drive you. And then this~

Perhaps if we let the questions guide us as long as we're satisfied with not arriving at concrete answers?

I keep saying that the older I get, the less damn sure I am about anything.
By the time I die, I won't know one thing. Not one. Not for sure.
And that is just fine with me.
