I'm happy to say that I don't need to go shopping today in Los Angeles. Given the state of the economy and my not-so-small addiction to internet shopping, I'm trying to stay away from the stores. As for food shopping, after touring around the world for
Wednesday's Corner View, I'm feeling just a teeny tiny bit jealous because going to Ralph's or Trader Joe's or even Whole Foods just doesn't come close to the streets of Berlin or Japan or Spain. You can see what I mean by clicking on any of these sites:

Instead, here's a photo of the lemons from our lemon tree and the rest of my southern California kitchen counter:
Happy Shopping!
I try to avoid internet shopping. Too addictive! Farmers Markets are right up my alley though. Thanks for a fun corner view!
ReplyDeleteI love the lemons from your tree. Oh I wish in the Chicago area I could have a lemon tree, but I'm lucky if I can grow grass. xoxo
ReplyDeleteLovely lemons! I love the fragrance of the citrus blossoms - nearly an extinct phenomenon unless it's in your own backyard like that - lucky girl!
ReplyDeleteCA does produce a lot of great fruit! And, wine! Oh, we are big fans of the wine!!!
ReplyDeleteI do love the farmer's market!
ReplyDeleteI've learnt the equivalent of window shopping on the internet: I just browse (high shipping costs and VAT do help), and I love doing that!
ReplyDeleteI looooooooooooove our farmers market!
ReplyDeleteThere are so many Spanish and Portuguese receipes with lemons. I think my favorite is Rojoes Cominho (I think that's the spelling)--pork with cumin, garlic, and lemon and served Portuguese fried potatoes cooked in olive oil and butter. Wonderful, but not something to eat every day.
ReplyDeleteOnce I'm finally settled in Elkhart, there's a great farmers' market just south of town. The Amish seem to know the best farmland, and one of their biggest communities is in Northern Indiana.
looks like there is a penis in your basket of onions!
ReplyDeleteI know what you mean, I swoon seeing the european corner views - they make me feel so ordinary! But I think you came up with something creative and homegrown which is quite beautiful :)
ReplyDeleteThose fruits just look so gorgeous and yummy! I love it :)
