A Meme

I've been tagged by Karen at Gberger. Usually I don't respond, but she's just so darn sweet and I want more people to read her blog (and the others that I've tagged). So here goes:

What are your current obsessions?
My daughter's seizure disorder, my blog and writing in general
Which item from your wardrobe do you wear most often?
Jeans from Eileen Fisher (and no, they're not mom jeans), black tee-shirt and sandal Crocs
Last thing you bought?
Pretty jewelry at a silent auction
What are you listening to?
the sound of boys squabbling over something stupid
Favourite kid's film
The Sound of Music.
Favourite Holiday Spots
Florence, Italy, any beach
What are you reading right now?
The Complete Talking Heads by Alan Bennett, Netherland by Joseph O'Neill and Matters of Life and Death by Bernard MacLaverty
Four words to describe you:
sharp-tongued, intense, strong, irritable
Guilty pleasure?
anything peanut butter and chocolate flavored
Who or what can make you laugh until you are weak?
a few of my friends, David Sedaris, my sister and my youngest son
First Spring thing?
It's spring all the time in Los Angeles
Planning to travel next?
What do you wish for most?
that my daughter's seizures would stop and she'd be able to thrive
Best thing you ate and drank recently?
a burger from Umami and a beer
When did you last get tipsy?
I can't remember but I'm wondering if I need to drink more
Favourite ever film?
8 1/2 by Fellini and Wings of Desire by Wim Wenders
Care to share some wisdom?
Hmmm...I'm in no position for that, although I do remind people to laugh a lot.
If you could change anything about yourself, what would it be?
I would stick to an exercise regime and lose some weight.

thanks..this will be fun..I WILL get to it..but it is a big post party for me tonight...MY ONE YEAR OF BLOGGING ANNIVERSARY!!!!!!!!!!

  4. I love to learn more about my blogging friends, and when I get these, it makes me think. Even found out more things that you & I have in common, & that's fun! Thank you for doing this.

  5. This is great! I like the sound of your book choices - I would thoroughly recommend Grace Notes, another Bernard MacLaverty - it's one of my favourites!

Irene (have come here a few times from Karen's blog)

  6. I'm with Claire. Guess I need to emerge from the pine trees more often! Well, I've printed out the questions and your answers, and am taking them to bed with me to see if I can figure out what to do.

What? Sound of Music is a kid's show?! Seriously, it's the very first movie I saw in my life (I was a teenager). Best line is the nun who told Maria "you have to find your life." Took me a while, but I finally did. . .Thanks for the tag. We'll get through this.
