A friend of mine posted this clip on Facebook, reminding me of one of my favorite scenes in one of my favorite movies of all time. In this few minutes of film, there's an answer to my confusion over the Mike Kelly exhibit, the insanity in the Middle East and the Ukraine and all the rest of it -- seriously. Oh, and and there's Marcello Mastroianni.
That was fabulous. Another movie I need to see! (Well, I've seen it before, but I need to see it again.) I love La Dolce Vita too. Fellini rules.
ReplyDeleteI think I'll watch that tonight if it's on HULU. To bad we don't live closer to one another. We could sip prosecco and smoke cigarettes while we watch it.
ReplyDeleteTaoist philosophers believe that chaos is the natural state of things. That nature is a hostile environment and the only constant in the world. They believe it has purpose. That ultimately there is a sanity in its madness. That it is divine. And that man tries too hard to make sense of things. It is our intellect that interferes with our ability to intuitively connect to this energy. Personally, I think Marcello has the right idea...!
ReplyDeleteThis clip was the perfect escape from a cloudy Seattle Sunday morning!
ReplyDeleteI loved that - do you want to be my FB friend?
